Objectives
Prepare competent qualified nurses as members of health care team who will:
➢ Apply the knowledge acquired from Physical, Biological and Behavioural sciences, Modern medicine including Alternative Systems and Nursing in providing quality nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
➢ Analyses the life style and other factors, which affect health of individuals and groups.
➢ Render Quality nursing care based on nursing process approach in collaboration with individuals and groups and other Health Care team members
➢ Demonstrate critical thinking skill in decision making in all situations in order to provide quality nursing care.
➢ Utilize the latest trends and technology in field of Modern Medicine including Alternative Systems and Nursing in providing quality health care.
➢ Render primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care to clients at various levels of health care of settings in line with the National Health Policies and programmes.
➢ Practice within the framework of Code of Ethics, Professional conduct, and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries of the profession.
➢ Communicate effectively with individuals, groups, and members of the Health Care team in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and collaborative team work.
➢ Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in clinical/ Community Health settings/ Institutions of Nursing education.
➢ Participate effectively as members of health team in the Health Care delivery system.
➢ Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in Hospital /Community health care settings.
➢ Conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to implement evidence-based nursing.
